   Armour - Betty Ann Hollmann, 86, died at Avera Brady Health and Rehab in Mitchell on Thursday, May 26, 2022. Funeral service will be Tuesday, May 31, 2022 at 10:30 AM at Armour Community Church in Armour with visitation an hour prior to the service. Committal service will follow the funeral at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Armour.

   Betty Ann Hollmann was born on August 13, 1935 to Elmer and Edith (Brown) Putzier in Corsica, SD. She graduated from Corsica High School and attained her Teacher’s Certificate from DWU in Mitchell to teach country school. On October 4, 1956 she married Harold Hollmann of Armour at the Grace Reformed Church in Corsica, SD. They moved to a farm south of Armour and later moved to the Hollmann family farm. Betty worked at Wagner Community Memorial Hospital where she was head of Housekeeping for over 40 years until she retired. Harold died on November 18, 2009. Betty was a member of Armour Community Church and Ladies Aide, Women’s Auxiliary, VFW Auxiliary, 4-H Leader, Senior Center where she enjoyed having coffee and great conversations. She loved quilting and making blankets, going to craft fairs, knitting more than we can count slippers and spending time with her family. Betty was very proud of all of her family especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She passed at Avera Brady Health and Rehab on Thursday May 26, 2022 at the age of 86.

   She is survived by 6 children, Mark (Cindy) Hollmann of Castlewood, SD, Terry Hollmann of Armour, SD, Jeff Hollmann of Mitchell, SD, Lisa Gorrell (special friend, Stan Ruff) of Mitchell, SD, Lora (Greg) Hildebrandt of Mitchell, SD and Lynn (Eric) Grajkowske of Mitchell, SD, 8 grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, 9 step-great-grandchildren and brother Ronald Putzier of Sioux Falls, SD.

   She was preceded in death by her parents and step-father Helmer Peterson, husband, Harold, son-in-law, Nicholas Gorrell, SR, grandson Aaron Hollmann, step-grandson Nicholas Gorrell, JR, sister and brother-in-law, Norma and Gordon VanGorp, infant brother, Gary Putzier, sister-in-law Janice Putzier, in-laws Bill and Myrtle Hollmann, Freddie Hollmann, Esther and Jerry Gahl, Art and Ora Maye Wiechmann.
