Parkston - Ileen Kathryn Bialas, 82, went to her heavenly home Tuesday, February 11, 2025 at Avera Bormann Manor in Parkston.  Funeral service will be Saturday, February 15 at 10:30 am at Faith Lutheran Church in Parkston.  Visitaiton will be Friday, February 14 from 4:30 to 6:30 pm, with a 6:30 pm prayer service, at Faith Lutheran Church in Parkston. 

Ileen was born October 19, 1942 to John and Vivian (Hrdlicka) Wunder in Wagner, SD. She attended Evans School in Douglas County through eighth grade and graduated from Armour High School in 1960. She attended Nettleton Business College in Sioux Falls and worked for Mitchell National Bank. She was united in marriage to Floyd Bialas on June 17, 1962 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, rural Dimock. Floyd and Ileen moved to a farm west of Dimock where they farmed and raised their family. As a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, she served on different committees and was very involved in LWML. In 2000, Floyd and Ileen moved into Parkston. She was a current member of Faith Lutheran Church. She enjoyed researching family ancestry and photography. She captured so many memories over the years with her camera. She had a great talent for sewing and loved to share this passion by gifting loved ones with personalized quilts. She enjoyed traveling and vacation adventures, as well as spending time with family and friends. She especially cherished time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as they were her greatest joys.

Grateful for having shared her life are her 4 children: Craig (Stacey) Bialas, Glenn Bialas, Perry (Kim) Bialas, and Kristi (Tom) Pfeifer; 6 grandchildren: Myles (Katie), Haley, Kade, Olivia, Alana, and Dustin (Dani); 3 great-grandchildren: Bentley, Harper, and Greyson; 1 brother: Gordon (Judy) Wunder; 1 sister: Linda Gerlach; in-laws: Roy (BJ) Wolford, Lawrence Bialas, Willard (Sylvia) Bialas, DuWayne (Sandy) Bialas, Jim (Rosie) Bialas, Lorraine Hetland, JoAnn Seeman, Jean (Gerhardt) Buenning, Berniece Bialas, Lois Bialas, and Zita Bialas; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; in-laws: Fritz and Hilda Bialas; 1 brother: Loren Wunder; 1 sister: Judy Wolford; and in-laws: Garhardt Gerlach, Ivan (Lena) Bialas, Harvey Bialas, Lambert Bialas, Larry Bialas, Wilmer Baier, Clair Hetland, Darrell Seeman, and Bernice Bialas.
