Obituary of Lorna Louise Weisser

Tripp – Lorna Louise Weisser, 82, went to her heavenly home Sunday, April 13, 2025 at her home in Tripp.  Funeral service will be Friday, April 18 at 10:30 am at Armour Community Church in Armour.  Visitation will be Thursday, April 17 from 1:00 to 2:00 pm, with a prayer service at 2:00, at Armour Community Church in Armour.  Arrangements by Koehn Bros. Funeral Home in Armour.

Lorna was born October 25, 1942 to Henry and Marie (Guthmiller) Gall in Tripp, SD.  She attended and graduated from Tripp High School.  She was united in marriage to Dale Weisser on January 31, 1960.  To this union, three children, Kevin, Kelly and Wayne, were born.  Lorna worked for a short time with the Head Start program before beginning work at the Tripp Good Samaritan Center where she worked for 47 years.  She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary where she was a past president, was church organist for over 50 years, and enjoyed gardening and bowling.  

Grateful for having shared her life are her 3 sons:  Kevin Weisser of Aberdeen, SD; Kelly (Carla) Weisser of Platte, SD; and Wayne Weisser of Tripp; 7 grandchildren:  Joshua Weisser, Heather (Jeff) Kreiner, Kendra (Kristie) Weisser, Kyle (Katie) Weisser, Kelby Weisser, Brandon (Jordan) Ellefson and Nicole (Luis Aleman) Weisser; 7 great-grandchildren:  Eleanor and Auberon Kreiner, Camden and Jace Weisser, Emily Aleman, Haze Weisser and Hayley Ellefson; and 2 brothers, Mervin (Eileen) Gall of Tripp and Merald (Kristie) Gall of Tripp.

She was preceded in death by his parents; husband, Dale; a sister, Sharon Gall and a brother in infancy, Hilmer Gall.
