Parkston – Linda Louise Weber, 74, went to her heavenly home Friday, December 12, 2025 at Avera Bormann Manor. Funeral mass will be Thursday, December 18 at 10:30 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Parkston. Prayer service will be Wednesday, December 17 at 5:30 pm at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Parkston with visitation to follow in the parish hall. Arrangements by Koehn Bros. Funeral Home in Parkston.
Linda was born January 4, 1951 to Art and Mary (Hargens) Roth in Mitchell, SD. She grew up in Stickney and graduated from Stickney High School in 1969. After graduation, she attended the University of South Dakota at Springfield where she excelled in softball, volleyball, basketball and track. She went on to earn a degree in Physical Education in 1973, and teach P.E. at rural schools in Lyman County.
She was united in marriage to Greg Weber on April 19, 1975 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Parkston, SD. The couple made their home in Parkston where Linda was a stay-at-home mother to their three children, and assisted at Weber Equipment in whatever capacity needed. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and Altar Society.
As her children grew, she became more involved with the community’s youth sports including starting the volleyball program at Parkston High School in 1991. She coached volleyball and softball, a passion she passed on to her children.
Linda’s greatest joy came in supporting her children and later grandchildren’s activities. She spent countless hours watching ball games and always had a few words of wisdom for all involved. She also followed the Minnesota Twins and Vikings, even if that meant some long and difficult seasons. Linda loved to compete and hated to lose, no matter if that was bowling league, golf night, or a friendly card game.
Grateful for having shared her life are her husband, Greg, of Parkston; three children: Kristy (Todd) Ziebart of Parkston; Leslie (RJ) Rylance of Mitchell; and Rick (Lindsay) Weber of Parkston; eight grandchildren: Allison, Lauren and Berkley Ziebart; Elliotte and Hayden Rylance; and Kathryn, Luke and Emma Weber; a sister, Janet (Rob) Bosworth of Plankinton, SD; and a sister-in-law, Nancy Roth of San Tan Valley, AZ.
She was preceded in death by her parents; parents-in-law, Eugene and Lorainne Weber; two brothers, Richard Hoffman and Cliff Roth; a nephew, Kyle Roth; a niece, Brenda Hoffman; and a brother-in-law, Art Robinson.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to the wonderful staff at Parkston’s Avera St. Benedict Hospital, Bormann Manor, and the Cancer Care Unit in Mitchell who cared for Linda during her time of need.
