Larry Wayne Wilson was born on January 14, 1955, in Mitchell, South Dakota, to Harold and Murlene (Hill) Wilson. He attended Amour High School with the Class of 1973. Following high school, Larry continued his education at Mitchell Vocational Technical Institute, where he earned a degree in Automotive Mechanics in 1975. On July 10, 1976, Larry was united in marriage to Ronda Van Den Hoek at Grandview Reformed Church in Armour. Their marriage was blessed with two children, Amity and Tyler. Larry was widely known throughout the Armour community for his strong work ethic, steady nature, and friendly smile. In May of 1989, he and Ronda opened Wilson True Value, where Larry became a familiar and trusted face to so many. Whether helping customers find the right tool, offering advice, or simply sharing conversation, he made lasting connections with everyone who walked through the doors. In 1998, Larry also helped reopen the Lorain Theatre, continuing his dedication to the community he cared for so deeply. A proud and active member of the Armour community, Larry dedicated 15 years of service to the Armour Fire Department and was a longtime member of the Lions Club. He enjoyed visiting with friends and spending time with those he loved most. Larry had a special talent for tinkering in his shop and restoring vehicles, a hobby that reflected both his patience and skill. In later years, he found joy on the golf course, where the laughter, conversations, and time spent with friends meant just as much as the game itself.Larry valued simple moments and meaningful connections. He was someone people could count on,hardworking, dependable, and always willing to lend a hand.

Larry will be remembered for his caring heart, unwavering dedication to his family and community, and the legacy of friendship, service, and hard work he leaves behind. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is lovingly remembered by his wife, Ronda; two children, Amity Fox of Plankinton and Tyler (Whitney) Wilson of Armour; five grandchildren, Noah, Ella, Nora, Marshall, and Sophia; a sister, Colette (Terry) Hochhalter of Armour, SD; and a brother, Don (Jodi) Wilson of Gilette, WY.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Murlene Wilson.
