LeRoy S. Adams, 81, went to his heavenly home Friday, July 31, 2026 at Avera St. Benedict Hospital in Parkston. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 6, at 10:30 a.m. at United Brethren in Christ Church in Milltown. Interment will take place at Milltown Cemetery following the service. Following the burial, family and friends are invited to a time of food and fellowship at the KC Hall in Parkston. Visitation will be on Wednesday, August 5, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., with a 7:00 p.m. prayer service, at Koehn Bros. Funeral Home in Parkston.  

LeRoy S. Adams, age 81, passed away on July 31, 2026. LeRoy was born on May 3, 1945, in Ethan, SD, to Stephen and Dora (Gukeisen) Adams. He graduated from Parkston High School and proudly served in the Army National Guard for 8 years as a ham radio operator. On June 12, 1971, he married the love of his life, Susan Angerhofer, in Aberdeen, SD. Together they built a life centered on faith, family and farming. They regularly attended and enjoyed the fellowship of the United Brethren in Christ Church in Milltown, SD. LeRoy spent his entire life farming, a vocation that was much more than a career— it was his passion. He found great satisfaction in working the land and especially enjoyed watching the crops grow each season. When he wasn’t in the fields or tending to his cows, LeRoy enjoyed hunting, trapping and roping. Above all he treasured time with his family and found his greatest joy in watching his grandchildren grow. 

LeRoy is survived by his loving wife, Susan Adams; his children, Becky (Rob) Leonard, Sioux Falls, SD; Jennifer (Tom) Martinez, Ethan, SD; and Rachel (Kiel) Gangle, Dell Rapid, SD. His grandchildren, Andy, Abby, Lena, Blayne, Cash, Magda, Josiah, Benton, Kai and Chael; and his siblings Bill Adams, Ethan, SD and Joyce Loof, Hartford, SD. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Stephen and Dora Adams, and his sisters Alice Lehrkamp and Dorothy Vanderberg. LeRoy will be remembered for his strong work ethic, his love of the land, his quiet devotion to his family and the example he set through a life of hard work, integrity and kindness. His legacy will live on in the family he loved, the fields he tended and the many lives he touched.
