Bellevue, NE – Marcella Ann Herrmann, 93, went to her heavenly home Monday, March 13, 2017 in Bellevue, NE surrounded by her loving family. Funeral mass will be Monday, March 20 at 11:00 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Parkston with a private, family burial to follow at a later time. Visitation will be Sunday, March 19 from 5 to 7 pm with a 7:00 pm prayer service at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Parkston. Arrangements by Koehn Bros. Funeral Home in Parkston. Marcella was born December 23, 1923 to Frank and Theresa (nee Laber) Thury near Parkston, SD. She attended Parkston High School and graduated in 1942. She was united in marriage to Vern Herrmann on February 23, 1949 at Sacred Heart Catholic in Parkston. They worked together on their family dairy farm until retiring and moving into Parkston in 1991. Marcella loved to tend to her flower and vegetable gardens. Grateful for having shared her life are her 5 children: Thomas (Jean) Herrmann of Sioux Falls, SD, Deborah Fraser of Huron, SD, Patricia (James) Eirinberg of Sioux Falls, Paula Herrmann, of Sioux Falls, and Laurie (Kevin) Hensel of Bellevue; 12 grandchildren Tara (Jei) Herrmann-Andejar, Todd (Nikki) Herrmann, Tessa Herrmann, Tommi (David) Dearing, Jason (Melissa ) Fraser, Nicholas (Amy) Fraser, Patrick (Ashley) Fraser, Autumn, Torrey and Emily Eirinberg, and Callie and Colin Hensel; 11 great-grandchildren; 5 brothers: Francis, (aka Yope), Kenneth (Shirley), Linus (Ruth), Larry (Jan), and Dick; 4 sisters: Maxine Hohn, Geraldine Pickart, Theresa (James) Schmidt, Janet (Russ) Trunde-Tsukamoto; and 2 sisters-in-law: Millie Thury and Saluma Hohn. She was preceded in death by husband, Vern in 2000; a brother, Norbert; 2 sisters, Marcia and Florence and a great-grandaughter, Emily.
