Obituary of Catherine Marie Heisinger

Catherine Marie Heisinger, 56, went to her heavenly home Thursday, July 5 at Dougherty Hospice House in Sioux Falls. Memorial Mass will be Tuesday, July 10 at 10:30 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Parkston.

Cathy was born August 12, 1961 to Leo and Janice (Weber) Heisinger in Parkston, SD. She attended school in Parkston and graduated from Parkston High School in 1979. She went to Mitchell Technical Institute in Mitchell, SD and graduated with a degree in Business. She worked for Syncom in Mitchell until it closed and then moved to Sioux Falls, SD and worked for Gateway and finally Daktronics. Cathy was a member of St. Katherine Drexel Catholic Church in Sioux Falls, made many donations to the Children’s Inn and had a vast collection of angels. She enjoyed cooking, making homemade jam, and attending Vikings and Twins Games. She loved spending time with her family, especially her nieces and nephews, attending sausage suppers with her mom, and planning family events.

Grateful for having shared her life are her mother, Janice of Parkston; 11 siblings: Chuck Heisinger of Mitchell; David Heisinger of Parkston; Tim Heisinger of Worthing, SD; Gerald Heisinger and wife, Kim of Dimock, SD; Lynn Heisinger of Parkston; Francis Heisinger and wife, Lisa of Olathe, KS; Benny Heisinger of Parkston; Pat Nelsen and husband, Todd of Sioux Falls; Jeanne Klatt and husband, Dylane of Crookston, MN; Judi Nacionales and husband, Fernando of St. Paul, MN; and John Heisinger and special friend, Christine of St. Louis, MO; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, Leo.
