Obituary of Cindy Kay Sperlich

Stickney – Cindy Kay Sperlich, 59, went to her heavenly home Thursday, August 16 at Avera Queen of Peace Hospital in Mitchell. Memorial service will be Tuesday, August 21 at 10:30 am at Aurora Reformed Church in Aurora Center.

Cindy was born August 31, 1958 to Lawrence and Agnes (Van Noort) Wulf in Canton, SD. She attended West Sioux High School in Hawarden, IA and graduated in 1976. She then attended Mitchell VoTech in Mitchell, SD and graduated with a degree in bookkeeping. She was united in marriage to LeRoy Sperlich and later moved to Stickney, SD where she sold insurance for over 20 years before buying the Legion Bar. She operated the bar for many years and loved being with her "bar family". She was dedicated and well known for always being open.

Grateful for having shared her life are her mother, Agnes Wulf of Hawarden, IA; sister, Brenda (Troy) Kilpatrick of Rapid City, SD; daughter, Desiree (Jared) Bultje of Corsica, SD; son, Dustin (Ashley) Sperlich of Little Rock, IA; and 4 grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father, Lawrence, a brother, Larry and a sister, Vicky.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made the Aurora County Cancer Fund or the American Cancer Society.

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the many friends that helped them over the final days and the Avera @Home Hospice Care Team.
