Obituary of Robert L Renshaw

   Armour - Robert L. Renshaw, 89, died at Douglas County Memorial Hospital in Armour on Tuesday, October 9, 2018. Funeral service will be Saturday, October 13, 2018 at 10:30 AM at United Church of Christ in Armour with burial following in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Armour. Visitation will be Friday, October 12, 2018 from 6 - 8 PM at United Church of Christ in Armour with a prayer service at 7:00 PM. Arrangements by Koehn Bros. Funeral Home in Armour.

   Robert "Bob" L. Renshaw was born on March 25, 1929 in Stickney, SD to Howard and Bertha (Tiemens) Renshaw. He attended country school in Douglas County and graduated from Armour High School in 1947. He entered the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War and was stationed in Japan. After his honorable discharge, he returned to Armour where he worked on Ft. Randall Dam in Pickstown as a sheet metal worker. He married Regina Flaherty on April 16, 1955 in Lake Andes, SD. They farmed near Armour until his retirement in 2001 and moved to town in 2008. Regina died on February 8, 2013. Bob was a member of the VFW in Armour. He enjoyed
fishing, hunting, playing cards, buying cars, and spending time with family. He died on Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at Douglas County Memorial Hospital in Armour at the age of 89.

   He is survived by his 4 daughters, Michele Sykes of Rochester, MN, Pamela (John) Ver Maas of Palmdale, CA, Angela (Kevin) Plihal of Oceanside, CA and Kathleen (Paul Wilson) of Armour, SD, brother, David Renshaw of Armour, SD, son-in-law, Patric Traxinger of Rapid City, SD, brother-in-law, Donald Forrest of Bozeman, MT, sister-in-law, Roene Weiss of Mitchell, SD, 13 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren.

   He was preceded in death by his parents, daughter, Roberta Traxinger, brother, Duane Renshaw, and sister, Lorraine Forrest.
