Obituary of Elizabeth Anna Villmow

   Armour - Elizabeth Villmow, 91, died at Good Samaritan Center in Corsica on Thursday, December 27, 2018. Funeral service will be Monday, December 31, 2018 at 10:30 AM at St. Peter Lutheran Church near Armour with burial following in St. Peter Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, December 30, 2018 from 5 - 7 PM at Koehn Bros. Funeral Home in Armour with a prayer service at 7:00 PM.

   Elizabeth Anna Villmow was born on January 1, 1927 to Emmanuel and Rosina (Fink) Drefs on her parents farm near Armour, SD. She married Lawrence Louis Villmow on May 26, 1946 at St. Peter Lutheran Church near Armour. They farmed near Armour until 1986 when they retired and moved to Armour. Elizabeth was a faithful, lifelong member of St. Peter Lutheran Church where she was active in the congregation, in particularly involved in Ladies Aide and Bible studies, AFLC, rural Armour, SD. She was diligent in raising her children to fear and love the living God. She enjoyed to garden, both vegetable and flower, playing piano and sewing, and her cooking and baking skills were known throughout the community. She dearly loved to visit, and was vitally interested in what her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren were doing. She was their champion and always had pearls of wisdom to help guide them. She died at Good Samaritan Society in Corsica on Thursday, December 27, 2018 at the age of 91.

   She is survived by 9 children, David (Teresa) Villmow of Delmont, SD, Richard Villmow of Gillette, WY, Allen (Barbara) Villmow of Delmont, SD, Paul Villmow of Wagner, SD, Rev. Susan Fox of Ridgway, PA, Doulgas (Beth) Villmow of Delmont, SD, Brian (Bonnie) Villmow or Armour, SD, Beverly Jahn of Armour, SD, and Walter (Michelle Burkhardt) Villmow of Montgomery, MN, sister, Alma (Marvin) Lau of Armour, SD, brother-in-law, Alvin Heber of Parkston, SD, sister-in-law, sister-in-law, Shirley Drefs of Corsica, SD, 28 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

   She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, great-granddaughter, Zaya Villmow in 2016, sisters, Rosina Sundermeyer and Leonida Hebew, brother, Martin Drefs, and son-in-law, Michael J. Fox.
