Obituary of Irene Margaret Bosma

   Corsica - Irene Margaret Bosma, 96, died at her home in Corsica on Sunday, March 17, 2019. Funeral service will be Thursday, March 21, 2019 at 10:00 AM at Grace Reformed Church in Corsica with burial following in Graceland Cemetery in Corsica. Visitation will be Wednesday, March 20, 2019 from 6:00 - 7:30 PM at Grace Reformed Church in Corsica with a prayer service at 7:00 PM. Arrangements by Koehn Bros. Funeral Home in Armour.

   Irene Margaret Bosma was born on August 26, 1922 in Douglas County, SD to Gerrit H. and Allie (Menning) DeVries. She attended country school near Corsica. On July 17, 1941, she was united in marriage to Isaac (Ike) Bosma. Ike died on May 2, 2012. Irene was a member of Grace Reformed Church in Corsica, Ladies' Missionary Society and Senior Citizens. She enjoyed going to sporting events to watch grandchildren and great-grandchildren, playing cards and baking. Irene loved her family and spending time with all of them was very important. Irene died at her home in Corsica on Sunday, March 17, 2019 at the age of 96.

   Grateful for having shared her life are her son, Donald (Mary) Bosma of Corsica, SD and their children, Shelly (Frank) Menning, Troy (Cindy) Bosma, Dan (Chris) Bosma, and Wendy (Farlin) Barse, all of Corsica; daughter, Judy Bosma of Corsica and friend, Marvin VanKekerix of Colton; daughter, Londa Cordrey of Corsica and her children, Jeremy (Crystal) Van Gorp of Creston, IA, Kim (Roman) Briggs of White Lake, SD, and Ray Gene Cordrey of Corsica, 17 great-grandchildren, Faith (friend, Dylan Douglas), Kris, Hope, Kyle Menning; Jordan (Christina) Wickstrom, James and Samuel, Tyler Wickstrom, and Dylan Wickstrom, and Shad Bosma; Kayla Fischer, Brooklyn Bosma, and Aspen Bosma; Jaden Barse and Raven Barse; Evelyn and Olivia Van Gorp; and sister, Clara Noteboom of Corsica.

   She was preceded in death by her husband, Ike, parents, 2 brothers, Herman and Frank DeVries, and 2 sisters, Ollie Doorn and Fannie Van Ekeren.
