Obituary of Bruce Robert Biddle

   Bruce Robert Biddle, 50, died on June 6, 2019 at his home in Kawaihae, HI. A celebration of his life and spreading of ashes in the ocean was his request and is scheduled for June 29 at 4:30 PM at Kawaihae, HI. A celebration of his life will be held at United Methodist Church in Geddes on July 20, 2019 at 2:00 PM.

   Bruce Robert Biddle was born on April 28, 1969 in Platte, SD to John and Patricia (Lockwood) Biddle. After graduating from Mitchell Vo-Tech in the welding program, his first job was in White Lake, SD. From there, Bruce and his welding skills started an interesting life, taking him to many states and many trips outside the United States. During his career, he worked for Abhe and Svoboda where he became a superintendent of his crew. Bruce's jobs sent him to Alaska, Guam numerous times, Antiqua, West Indies, Hawaii working on the Aloha Bowl and various other places where he worked on locks and dams, water towers, and on military bases.

   Bruce married Melanie Hyatt. Together, they purchased and operated a bed and breakfast in Kawaihae for several years. Bruce owned and operated Kohala Coast Crane Company prior to his death. He was an avid scuba diver and enjoyed weekly dives with friends. Bruce died at his home in Kawaihae on June 6, 2019 at the age of 50.

   He is survived by his mother, Patricia Biddle of Geddes, SD, brothers, Tom (Sandy) Biddle of Geddes, SD, Darrel (Linda) Biddle of Geddes, SD and Scott (Tracey) Biddle of Ponca City, OK, sisters, Sara (Jerry) Harrington of Armour, SD, Lori Biddle of Kansas City, MO and LeeAnn Safar of Grove, OK, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

   He was preceded in death by his father, Jack, nephew, Shane Biddle, and several aunts and uncles.
