   Parkston - Robert Arnold Reichert, 79, died at Avera St. Benedict Hospital in Parkston on Saturday, April 18, 2020. There will be a private graveside service at Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery near Dimock. Arrangements by Koehn Bros. Funeral Home in Parkston.

   Robert Arnold Reichert was born September 20, 1940 to Arnold and Helen (Scheetz) Reichert at Parkston Hospital. He was baptized by Rev. Hempel into the Christian Faith and confirmed by Rev. Dewald at Immanuel Lutheran Church near Dimock, SD. He grew up on his family farm west of Parkston.

   He was united in marriage to Ione (Kietzmann) on April 16th 1961 at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Armour, South Dakota. Together they lived and farmed west of Parkston until September of 2018, when they moved into Parkston.

   Robert was a lifelong member of Immanuel Lutheran Church. He was on the Board of Directors for 40 years with Dakota Farm Mutual, where he enjoyed attending quarterly meetings. He was very dedicated for 38 year to helping others in the AA group in Parkston, South Dakota, where he currently was attending his weekly Friday night AA meetings. Robert enlisted into the South Dakota National Guard when he was 16 years old, and served our country for 6 years.

   Robert went to his heavenly home on Saturday, April 18, 2020 at the Avera St Benedict Hospital in Parkston at the age of 79.
He enjoyed spending time with his loving family and cherished every moment that he could with his 7 grandsons and his 2 great granddaughters-where they all held a special place in his heart.

   He loved the country life where he took great pride of his family farm.

   Grateful for having shared his life with his wife Ione, of 59 years; his 2 children, Steve (Janelle) Reichert of Parkston, and Sheryl (Tim) Loes of Mitchell, 7 grandsons; Jonathan (Nikki), Tyler, Tanner, and Noah Reichert; Alex (Mollie), Austin, and Adam Loes; 2 great-granddaughters, Addilyn Reichert and Thea Loes; 2 sisters; Florence Moege of Parkston and Ruth (Duane) Naser of Gillette, Wy; 1 sister-in-law, Marjean Reichert of Mitchell South Dakota; 2 brothers-in-law, Elmer Kietzmann of Rockford, Il, Charles and Saling Kietzmann of Omaha, Ne, and numerous nieces and nephews.

   He was preceded in death by his parents; Arnold and Helen, his brother Harold, 2 brothers-in-law; Willard Moege and Gene Halverson, and sister-in-law, Kathy Kietzmann.
