     Parkston - Delores Lucille Kirchhevel, 87, went to her heavenly home Thursday, November 26 at Avera St. Benedict Hospital in Parkston.  There will be a private family service at Faith Lutheran Church in Parkston.

     Delores Lucille Kirchhevel was born July 21, 1933 to Fred and Emma (Schulz) Laib in Douglas County, SD. She attended country school in Douglas County. She helped her parents with many of the chores on the family farm. She met her future husband through her brother, Roland who were friends. Delores was united in marriage to Arnold L. Kirchhevel on February 15, 1952 in Delmont, SD. They farmed in the Armour area for many years before retiring in 1990 when they moved to Parkston, SD. Delores was busy being a mother and worked right beside Arnold on the farm helping with everything on the farm including doing chores, planting and harvesting crops, gardening and canning for her family. She enjoyed raising chickens. Arnold passed away on September 4, 1992. Some of her past interest were embroidering, playing cards with family and friends, reading, doing word searches and playing bingo. Her family was very special to her. Delores was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Delmont until she became a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Parkston in 1991. She went to her heavenly home Thursday, November 26 at Avera St. Benedict Hospital in Parkston.  There will be a private family service at Faith Lutheran Church in Parkston.

     Grateful for having shared her life are her son, Marvin (Judy) Kirchhevel of Corsica, SD; a daughter, Donna Kirchhevel of Parkston; granddaughter, Amber (Aaron) Suedmeier of Aberdeen, SD; great-granddaughter, Ryleigh Suedmeier; and sister-in-law, Rosemary (Roland) Laib of Armour, SD.

     She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Arnold, 2 brothers, Arnold and Roland Laib, and 2 sisters, Leona Goehring and Olinda Zirpel.

     Memorials may be directed to Faith Lutheran Church in Parkston or Main Street Living in lieu of flowers.
