Funeral Home in Parkston.

Gerald "Jerry" Wisner was born April 18, 1933 to Joseph and Mary (Germscheid) Wisner on the family farm near Dimock, SD.  He attended Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic School in Dimock through the 8th grade.  While serving his country during the Korean War, he was stationed in the state of Washington until being honorably discharged on January 13, 1956.  He was united in marriage to Anita Laber, the love of his life, on April 28, 1962 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Parkston, SD.  They were married for 58 years.  In his younger years, Jerry worked to build dams in South Dakota, worked in construction and sold seed corn for many years.  He was a lifelong farmer, farming for 58 years.  He was proud of his fields and keeping all his machinery clean.  Jerry was a member of the Knights of Columbus and enjoyed fishing and camping, taking some memorable trips, watching the "TWINS" and visiting with family and friends while drinking a cup of coffee or playing cards.  You could always see him driving to the farm on his John Deere Gator.  He treasured all his nieces, nephews and special Godchildren.  They could always count on getting a "call" from Uncle Jerry.
Grateful for having shared his life are his wife, Anita of Dimock; a sister, Marie Erpenbach of Ethan, SD; a brother-in-law, Gerald "Bud" Laber and wife, Alice of Aurora, CO; and numerous nieces, nephews and grand nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and in-laws; 4 brothers:  Edwin, Urban, Francis and Joseph Jr.; and 2 sisters:  Irene Untereiner and Dorothy Fleming.
