Parkston - Ruth Amelia Lippert, 89, died at Avera Bormann Manor in Parkston on Thursday, June 23, 2022. Funeral service will be Tuesday, June 28, 2022 at 10:30 AM at Memorial Baptist Church in Parkston with burial following in Parkston Protestant Cemetery in Parkston. Visitation will be Monday, June 27, 2022 at Memorial Baptist Church in Parkston from 6 - 7 PM with a prayer service at 7:00 PM. Arrangements by Koehn Bros. Funeral Home in Parkston.

   Ruth Amelia Lippert was born on December 11, 1932 to Ferd and Mollie (Renner) Bitterman on the family farm near Parkston, SD. She attended country school near Parkston and helped on the family farm. She was united in marriage to Elroy Lippert on July 19, 1953 in Parkston. They farmed near Tripp, SD for 38 years before retiring and moving into Parkston. Elroy died on November 11, 2021. Ruth was a member of Memorial Baptist Church in Parkston where she taught Sunday School of over 40 years. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, flowers, gardening, cooking and baking. She went to her heavenly hone on Thursday, June 23, 2022 at Avera Bormann Manor in Parkston at the age of 89.

   Grateful for having shared her life are her 3 sons: Lorin (Debi) Lippert of Rapid City, SD; Leon (Norma) Lippert of Parkston and Lowell Lippert of Piedmont, SD; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; 2 sisters: Elaine (Albert) Hirsch of Rapid City, SD and Betty Goehring of Brookings, SD; and brother, LeRoy Bitterman of Sioux Falls, SD.

   She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter, Lila and Dale Wuertzer, brother, Marvin Bitterman, and sister, Leonna Ledeboer.
