Parkston - Lula Viola Jerke 90, passed away on Wednesday, July 26, 2017 at Avera Bormann Manor in Parkston.
There will be a private gathering of family where her ashes will be buried with her husband at the Parkston Cemetery.
Lu worked for over 25 years in the jewelry department at K-Mart in Sioux Falls. After her retirement, she worked in the Parkston library. Her hobbies included fishing and dancing.
She is survived by her son, Rodney (Sue) Jerke of Sioux Falls; 3 grandchildren: Raine (Kerry) Jerke of Sioux Falls; Sara Jerke of Sioux Falls; and Jordan Jerke of Minneapolis; and 5 great-grandchildren: Lauren Thornton, Brooklyn Thornton, Jason Jerke, Jasmine Jerke and Roman Alan Jerke.
