Mitchell – Ione Ruth Reichert, 81, went to her heavenly home Saturday, September 10 at Avera Brady Health and Rehab.  Funeral service will be Thursday, September 15 at 10:30 am, with visitation beginning at 9:30 am, at Immanuel Lutheran Church near Dimock.  Arrangements by Koehn Bros. Funeral Home in Parkston.

Ione was born June 13, 1941 to Arthur and Martha (Kirchhevel) Kietzmann.  She was baptized at St. Paul Lutheran Church west of Armour and confirmed at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Armour.  She grew up and lived in the Armour area.  She was united in marriage to Robert Arnold Reichert on April 16, 1961 at Redeemer Lutheran Church.  Together they lived and farmed west of Parkston until September of 2018 when they moved into Parkston.  She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church where she taught Sunday School for many years.  She was very dedicated to helping others in the Al-anon group in Parkston.  She enjoyed spending time with her loving family and cherished every moment and visit with her 7 grandsons and 4 great-grandchildren as they held a special place in her heart.  She found great joy in quilting and made each of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren a quilt.  They all say "it's the best and warmest blanket they have" and will cherish them forever!  She loved gardening and cooking and passed down many special recipes and techniques that her children and grandchildren will forever be thankful for!  She enjoyed calling her lady friends just about every day and sometimes would be on the phone for hours.

Grateful for having shared her life are her 2 children, Steve (Janelle) Reichert of Parkston and Sheryl (Tim) Loes of Mitchell; 7 grandsons; Jonathan (Nikki), Tyler, Tanner, and Noah Reichert and Alex (Mollie), Austin, and Adam Loes; 4 great-grandchildren: Addilyn and Cambrie Reichert and Thea and Henry Loes; 2 brothers: Elmer Kietzmann of Rockford, IL, and Charles (Saling) Kietzmann of Omaha, Ne; 3 sisters-in-law:  Margean Reichert of Mitchell,  Florence Moege of Parkston and Ruth Naser of Gillette, Wy; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The love of her life, her husband, Robert, passed away April 18, 2020.  They are reunited again in heaven.  She was also preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Martha; 4 brothers-in-law:  Gene Halverson, Willard Moege, Harold Reichert and Duane Naser; a sister-in-law, Kathy Kietzmann; and a nephew, Lyle Moege.
