Obituary of Mary Jane Brosz

Delmont – Mary Jane Brosz, 87, went to her heavenly home Thursday, October 6 at her home near Delmont.  Funeral service will be Wednesday, October 12 at 10:30 am, with visitation beginning at 9:30 am, at Hope Lutheran Church in Delmont.  Arrangements by Koehn Bros. Funeral Home in Parkston.

Mary Jane was born January 13, 1935 to Emanuel and Anna (Sperlich) Hoffman in Stickney, SD.  She was baptized in Stickney and confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church in Delmont, SD.  She attended and graduated from Delmont High School.  She was united in marriage to Gilbert Brosz on November 18, 1956 at Zion Lutheran Church in Delmont.  To this union, two sons, Bradley and Russell, were born.  Mary Jane was an active part of the farm.  She enjoyed bowling, putting puzzles together and watching the Hallmark Channel.

Grateful for having shared her life are her 2 sons:  Bradley (Joyce) Brosz and their 3 children, Carisa (Jeromy) Munce, Brandon (Lynn) Brosz, and Adam (Sara) Brosz; and Russell (Lori) Brosz and their 2 children, Aubrey (Sabrina Stoffer) Brosz and Brittany (Ryan) Boen; 8 great-grandchildren:  Teigan, Taten and McKinnley Munce, Emerson, Gabriel and Sawyer Brosz, and Addisyn and Jocelyn Brosz; and a sister, Betty Berry of Sioux Falls.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gilbert; a great-granddaughter, Mateya Munce; a sister, Vivian (Marinus) Schermann and their children, Lucille and Michael Schermann; and a brother-in-law, Laddie Berry.
