Parkston - Lenora Boehmer, 92, died at Avera Bormann Manor in Parkston on Tuesday, October 25, 2022. Funeral service will be Monday, October 31, 2022 at 10:30 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Parkston with burial following in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery in Parkston. Visitation will be Sunday, October 30, 2022 from 6 - 8 PM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Parkston with a wake service at 7:00 PM. 

     Lenora Boehmer was born April 2, 1930 to Henry and Lydia (Stoebner) Hoff at Tripp, SD.  She attended country school near her home farm and rode a pony to school. She married Patrick Boehmer on February 2, 1953 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Parkston. They farmed west of Parkston where they milked cows and raised chickens. Lenora also worked at Firesteel Healthcare Center in Mitchell in laundry and St. Benedict Hospital in the kitchen and in laundry. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Altar Society and the church choir. She enjoyed sewing, embroidary, gardening, canning, baking, and spending time with her grandchildren and attending their events. She died at Avera Bormann Manor in Parkston on Tuesday, October 25, 2022 at the age of 92. 

     Grateful for having shared her life are her husband, Patrick of Parkston; 5 children: James (JoAnn) Boehmer of Parkston; Dennis (Sally) Boehmer of Dimock; Diane (Larry) Wermers of Rapid City; Mark (Gina) Boehmer of Sherrard, IL; and Joel (special friend, Kimberly) Boehmer of Parkston; 15 grandchilren; 32 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; brother-in-law: Norman Boehmer of Parkston; 3 sisters-in-law: JoAnn Omafray of Mobridge, Sr. Mariella Boehmer of Milwaukee, WI; and Mary Boehmer of Parkston; and many cousins, nieces and nephews. 

     She was preceded in death by her parents; grandchild: Jeremiah; great-grandchild: Gabriel; 5 brothers: Ted; Ronnie; Albert; Otto and Bill; 2 sisters: Sophia and Emma; and several in-laws.
