Bob was born July 24, 1928 to Gustav and Julianna (Neumann) Graumann near Granite, Greer County, Oklahoma.  He was baptized as a Child of God on August 12, 1928 and reaffirmed his faith on April 18, 1943 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Granite.  Bob was the youngest of 11 children and told many stories of his years growing up on the family farm south of Granite, going to school, fishing with friends, roller-skating, attending Sunday school and Walther League.  He attended Liberty Country School and Granite High School, graduating in 1947.  After graduation, he worked on the farm with one of his brothers.  He was united in marriage to Anna Drefs on June 29, 1952.  The couple lived on the farm in Oklahoma for 3 years where Bob farmed and worked road construction.  They moved to a farm in Douglas County, South Dakota where they owned and operated a dairy farm until retiring and moving into Parkston, SD in 1996.  Bob worked in the Senior Citizen’s Center until moving to Countryside Living in Mitchell, SD in 2016.  He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church since 1980, was a county commissioner, and enjoyed playing cards with friends, singing in the St. Peter’s Choir and attending Farm Bureau picnics where he would grill pork chops.

Grateful for having shared his life are his wife, Anna of Mitchell; 4 children:  Ivan (Carlen) Graumann of Idledale, CO; Clyde (Dianne) Graumann of Rapid City, SD; Curt Graumann of Gillette, WY; and Shirlyce (Todd) Weisser of Mitchell; 7 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
