Parkston – Sandra K. Horstman, 64, went to her heavenly home Monday, March 20 at Avera St. Benedict Hospital in Parkston after suffering a heart attack at her home. A celebration of Sandy’s life will be held at a later date.
Sandra was born on June 6, 1958 to Wayne (Bud) and Lila (Haar) Rolfson in Sioux Falls, SD. She grew up in Sioux Falls and attended Whittier Elementary and Washington High School. After graduation, she worked at a number of jobs in South Dakota because she was so multitalented. Her last and most loved job was being a farmer and caregiver at the side of her loving husband, Lynn Horstman. Her wit will be missed as she always managed to make everyone around her laugh.
Grateful for having shared her life are her husband, Lynn of Parkston; 5 brothers: Wayne (Judy), Bob, Jim, and Larry Rolfson; 2 sisters: Mary Quissel and Christy Harvey; and many nieces, nephews, friends and neighbors.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Wayne and Lila; grandparents, Chester and Minnie; in-laws, Hank and Loretta Horstman; a brother-in-law Denny Quissel; and a brother-in-law, Jim (Jean) Horstman.
