Lincoln, NE – Mary Kathryn Wuest, 78, formerly of Lake Andes, passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 2 at Sumner Place.  Memorial service will be Saturday, April 29 at 2:00 pm at First Presbyterian Church in Lake Andes.  A memorial service will be held in her hometown of Scottsbluff, NE in June.  Arrangements by Koehn Bros. Funeral Home in Lake Andes.

Mary was born June 20, 1944 in Britton, SD; her parents were William and June Wuest. Mary spent the majority of her life in Scottsbluff, NE and worked at Western Nebraska Community College until she retired in 2019. She was best known for her abundant love of dogs and for her ability to make people laugh with her teasing sense of humor. 

She was preceded in death by her parents and she is survived by her sister, Ann Hengen (Steve), Rapid City, SD; as well as her children: Carrie Moore (Steve), Houston, TX; Amy Moench (Gerald) Kansas City, MO; and Dave Quevedo (Joey), Lincoln, NE. She will also be missed by her 10 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren, abundant friends and the amazing staff at her most recent home - Sumner Place in Lincoln NE.
