Obituary of Cindy Darlene Roth

Mitchell – Cindy Darlene Roth, 73, went to her heavenly home Wednesday, November 8 at her son’s home in Mitchell.  Funeral service will be Saturday, November 11 at 10:00 am, with visitation beginning at 9:00 am, at Salem Lutheran Church in Parkston.  Koehn Bros. Funeral Home in Parkston.

Cindy was born August 9, 1950 to Robert and Darlene (Hohn) Hasvold in Flandreau, SD.  She attended Chamberlain High School and graduated in 1969.  In 1972, she moved to Sioux Falls, SD where she attended Nettleton College.  She was united in marriage to Ronald Roth on June 26, 1976 at Baltic Lutheran Church in Baltic, SD. The couple made their home on a farm near Parkston, SD.  Cindy continued her education in 2005 at Mitchell Technical Institute in Mitchell, SD where she completed her degree in Accounting and Computers.  She worked for Palace City Chevrolet in Mitchell as an accountant and later as a cashier for Shopko and Menards.  She also worked on the farm with Ronald.  She was a member of Salem Lutheran Church where she taught Sunday school.  She loved spending time with her grandchildren and attending their events.  She also enjoyed sewing and crafts.

Grateful for having shared her life are her 3 sons:  David (Sara) Roth of Parkston; Steven (Jackie) Roth of Mitchell; and Jim Roth of Mitchell; 5 grandchildren:  Tyson, Allyssa, Jaxson, Katelyn and Jared; 2 sisters:  Linda Hasvold of Sioux Falls and Vicky Waller of Sioux Falls; and a brother, Terry (Charlotte) Hasvold of Baltic.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ronald; an infant son, Jason Ronald Roth; and 2 sisters, Mitzy Steuck and Barbara Longcrow.
