Obituary of Jim Ronald Roth

Mitchell – Jim Ronald Roth, 41, went to his heavenly home Sunday, January 14 at his home in Mitchell.  Funeral service will be Saturday, January 20 at 10:30 am, with visitation beginning at 9:30 am, at Salem Lutheran Church in Parkston.  Burial will follow the service in Parkston Protestant Cemetery.  Arrangements by Koehn Bros. Funeral Home in Parkston.

Jim was born April 25, 1982 to Ronald and Cindy (Hasvold) Roth in Mitchell, SD.  He grew up on the farm near Parkston and attended Parkston High School, graduating in 2001.  He graduated from Southeast Tech in Sioux Falls, SD in 2003 with a degree in auto mechanics.  Jim worked for Trail King, H&R Salvage, Twin City Fan and several other places.  He was an avid mud racer and belonged to the South Dakota Mud Racers.  He also enjoyed storm chasing.

Grateful for having shared his life are his 2 brothers:  David (Sara) Roth of Parkston and Steven (Jackie) Roth of Mitchell; 5 nieces and nephews, Tyson, Allyssa, Jaxson, Katelyn and Jared; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Jason, in infancy; and grandparents, Robert and Darlene Hasvold and Walter and Irene Roth.
