Obituary of Herbert J. Ruff

Corsica – Herbert J. Ruff, 85, went to his heavenly home Sunday, February 18 at Good Samaritan Center – Corsica.  A private, family service will be held at a later time.

Herb was born March 3, 1938 to Henry and Mary (Heck) Ruff.  He attended Valley #13 Country School through the 8th grade and graduated from Armour High School in 1956.  He joined the Army National Guard and served in the United States Army for 2 years.  He was united in marriage to Mary Kay Talbot on September 1, 1962 in Armour.  Herb worked for the Armour Veterinary Clinic and Douglas Feed Mill and eventually began farming.  He was a member of St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church and Knights of Columbus and was an avid golfer. 

Grateful for having shared his life are special friends, Pat and Beth Harrington and their children, Riley, Sydney and Grady.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Mary; and an infant son, Robert.
