Lillian Fuerst, 105, died Friday, May 31 at Castle Rock Assisted Living II in Castle Rock, CO. Funeral service will be Wednesday, June 12 at 10:30 am, with visitation beginning at 9:30 am, at Parkston Congregational Church in Parkston.  Arrangements by Koehn Bros. Funeral Home in Parkston.

Lillian, the first born of triplet girls, was born October 6, 1918 to Emanuel and Hulda (Koenig) Hins.  She attended and graduated from Parkston High School in Parkston, SD.  Along with her twin sisters, she also attended and graduated from Sioux Valley Nursing School in Sioux Falls, SD.  Her nursing career took her to St. Paul, MN and Eureka, SD.  She was united in marriage to Ruben Fuerst on June 13, 1943 at the United Church of Christ in Parkston where they had met 7 years earlier.  The couple made their home on a farm southeast of Parkston where they farmed and raised their 2 daughters, Carole and Jean.  She enjoyed caring for flowers, embroidering, scrap booking, cooking and baking, being active in the Ladies Aide at church and traveling, primarily to California, Florida and Denver.

She is survived by her daughter, Carole Brown of Denver, CO; 2 grandsons:  Chris (Carolyn) Brown and Tyler (Aubrey) Brown;  and 4 great-grandchildren:  Bailey, Tysen, Austin and Hunter.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ruben; daughter, Jean; and 4 sisters, Lois, Louise, Jane and Beverly.
