Easton Gregory Wagner Obituary

Parkston – Easton Gregory Wagner, 8, went to his heavenly home Monday, June 17 at USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls as a result of a farm accident at his home near Parkston.  Funeral mass will be Friday, June 21 at 10:30 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Parkston.  Visitation will be Thursday, June 20 from 5 to 7 pm, with a 7:00 pm prayer service, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Parkston.

Easton was born April 7th, 2016 to Steve and Rose (Dewald) Wagner in Mitchell, SD.  He was born to be a farm boy and was happiest working with his dad completing tasks on the farm, although he was pretty skilled at trying to escape his own chores. Easton will be remembered by his mischievous smile and cowboy boots which were usually on the wrong feet. He loved going at top speed at all times and was always up for an adventure.

Easton was working hard with his calf Mickey, and was looking forward to showing him in Tulsa at the National American Blue Show for the first time this summer. He loved spending his days on the farm with his big sister Emma and little brother Everett. Easton loved cuddles with his mom and dad in the evenings and holding hands in church.

Easton completed first grade at Parkston Elementary School, during which he participated in wrestling and 4H. He attended church and catechism classes at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

Easton enjoyed spending time with his large, loving extended family whenever he could, especially his grandparents and cousins.  He was learning how to cook, making eggs by himself.  He loved the color red, robots, and Pokémon.

Easton will be forever missed by his parents Steve and Rose, sister Emma, brother Everett, grandparents Dennis and Joyce Wagner & Lyle and Dorothy Dewald, Great Grandmother Lorraine Schoenfelder, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
