Obituary of Richard "Dick" L. Fuller

   Armour - Richard "Dick" L. Fuller, 85, died at his home in Armour, SD on Wednesday, November 22, 2017. Funeral service will be Monday, November 27, 2017 at 10:30 AM at United Church of Christ in Armour with burial following in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Armour. Visitation will be Sunday, November 26, 2017 from 5 - 7 PM at Koehn Bros. Funeral Home in Armour with a prayer service at 7:00 PM.

   Richard "Dick" L. Fuller was born on May 31, 1932 to Ole and Clara (Ankerson) Fuller
in Mitchell, SD. He graduated from Mitchell High School in 1950 where he enjoyed playing football, basketball and track and field. He attended USD in Vermillion where he played football and basketball before he was drafted into the United States Army. He played football for the Army during his service time. After his discharge, he attended DWU in Mitchell where he played football and graduated with a bachelors degree in education. He married Terry Dyvig on August 19, 1956 in Deadwood, SD. The couple moved to Wagner where Dick taught and was head football coach and assistant basketball coach. While teaching, Dick attended SDSU in Brookings during the summer to attain his Masters Degree in education and became Principal in Wagner. In 1969, he became
Superintendent at Armour High School where he remained until retiring in 1994. Terry died on July 1, 2004. Dick was a member of United Church of Christ in Armour and Ducks Unlimited. As a young boy, he gained his passion for hunting and fishing from cherished time spent with his father. He enjoyed gardening, his dogs, coffee in the morning with the boys, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

   He is survived by his 3 children, Greg (Linda) Fuller of Ft. Pierre, SD, Dave Fuller of
Parker, SD, and Kay (Ron) Weber of Armour, SD, and 6 grandchildren, Katie (Nathan)
Krieger of Sioux Falls, SD, Evan (Sylvia) Fuller of New Prague, MN, Davin Fuller of
Parker, SD, Terryn Fuller of Parker, SD, Ashley Weber of Albuquerque, NM, and Reece
Weber of Vermillion, SD, and great-grandson, Daniel Krieger.

   He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and brother, Don.
