   Geddes - Dorothy M. Thompson, 91, died at Platte Health Center in Platte, SD on Tuesday, December 19, 2017. Funeral service will be Saturday, December 23, 2017 at 11:00 AM at Koehn Bros. Funeral Home in Armour with burial following in Pleasant Lawn Cemetery in Geddes.

   Dorothy M. Thompson was born on August 5, 1926 to John E. and Helen (Kaus) Thompson, Sr. in Stickney, SD. She attended country school and graduated from Lake Andes High School in 1945. The family moved to Geddes, SD in 1951 where she worked as a waitress at various restraunts. She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Geddes. Dorothy enjoyed watching game shows and square dancing on TV. When she was young, she enjoyed dancing and was taught to dance by Lawrence Welk. She died at Platte Health Center in Platte, SD on Tuesday, December 19, 2017 at the age of 91.

   She is survived by her 2 sons, Tim Thompson of Geddes, SD and Mick (Colleen) Thompson of Sioux Falls, SD, 2 sisters, Betty Isakson of Aberdeen, SD and Mavis Gould of Yankton, SD, 2 sisters-in-law, Billee Thompson of Geddes, SD and Darlene Thompson of Armour, SD, 3 grandchildren, Bonnie (Tony) Pritzkau of Rapid City, SD, Chris (Sarah) Thompson of Sioux Falls, SD, and Lisa (Derek) Myers of Harrisburg, SD, and 5 great-grandchildren.

   She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers, Johnnie Thompson and Ivan Thompson, and sister, Maxine Knorr.
