We met Alvin in 2015 through Karen and Vern, our neighbors in Indiana. We made a trip to South Dakota. We visited the farm and were invited to meet with Alvin. His hospitality and kindness made us feel so welcome. As we read his obituary, we were happy to see so many family member names; knowing many of them were able to be with him to the end. With his commitment to St. Peters Church for over 72 years, it is so fitting that his memorial service be held at St. Peters.
