I remember going out to Grandma, Donald and Vernetta's farm when I was younger to help with work that needed to be done. Although,the work was not my cup of tea (butchering chickens, helping with castrating pigs, walking beans, etc...), I learned a lot about working hard from them. I look back now and appreciate that I was able to do those things. It's made me a better, stronger person. The best part of it all, was that Nettie always had a delicious lunch to serve us when we were done and Donald always had a smile on his face. He never spoke an unkind word. Thank you for the memories. Rest in Peace Uncle Donald.
