Our deepest sympathy to Joyce & family! The obituary gave the journey of a live well lived! I appreciated that John enlisted in the US Coast Guard & served on a ship during the war! Very brave for a young man from SD at that time! Our son is a third year cadet in the US Coast Guard Academy. Glad, John did take the Honor Flight! Proud of my cousin! Charlene Berry

Memories of a BIG loving family! John and the sons and son in laws and future sons in laws enjoying the football games with a beer! The laughter, the kidding around and the FUN! The great status he achieved with the K of C and how impressive he looked in the traditional garments. How stoic he was for the family during Rick's passing, during the heartaches.
