As a member of the Howard Heavilon family I looked forward to our annual trips to South Dakota. We were always warmly welcomed by Carl, Pearl, Gene and Charlene. They made us feel a part of their family during our visits. As I came to see and get to know Gene a little, I grew to appreciate his fine qualities of a concern and big heart for others, his respect for proper care of the land and his commitment to Jesus. I will miss not seeing him on my next visit to Armour but have very fond memories of him and will look forward to visiting with Charlene.

Condolences for Gene Bringelson Gene was a close neighbor during my growing up years on the farm. We belonged to the same 4-H club, and attended the same schools, including college at Springfield,S Dak. I fondly remember our times together at the state fair, our 4-H clean grain trip to Minneapolis and many other 4-H events we attended together. I also remember the times we hunted pheasants and jack rabbits. It was always a fun time visiting his home and playing pool on the family pool table. On my trips to S Dak, I always enjoyed visiting Gene and recalling shared memories from the past.
